EARTH CREATIVE ARTISTS IN THE NEWS |
|||||||||||||||||
Thank you, Kathy! |
|||||||||||||||||
In April of 2020, Kathy Fahlman Dewalt became Earth Creative’s first Chair of the Artists committee. Under her tireless leadership and prodigious social network, Kathy grew the EC artists roster into a formidable community of brilliant creators who all share a passion for a responsible and sustainable stewardship of our beautiful planet. Kathy’s impact on Earth Creative’s formative years has been decisive and has ensured a great transition to Jodie Nelson who is now chairing this essential committee as of January 1. |

There is still time to view works by Earth Creative Artists
Ann Chadwick Reid and
Natalie Niblack at the Museum of
Northwest Art in La Conner, WA, until January 21.
In partnership with the Skagit Climate Science Consortium, MoNA is bringing back
Surge: Mapping Transition, Displacement, and Agency in Times of Climate Change
, an exhibition drawing attention to climate change and its tangible effects on the Northwest’s Coastal communities.
As in the previous exhibits, “Surge: Mapping Transition, Displacement, and Agency in Times of Climate Change” will engage artists to work with environmental researchers and educators to present the public with new perspectives on issues such as flooding, storm surge, coastal erosion, glacier retreat, through exhibits, lectures and education programs as well as participatory art activities. |
